Aluminium recycling

Recycling aluminium requires as little as 5% of the energy needed to produce primary aluminium! This means that recycling makes it possible to save 8 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per every tonne of aluminium. Research shows that aluminium recovery rates during building demolition are very high, ranging from 92% to 98%. In practice, this means that aluminium windows and doors are almost always recovered at the end of their life cycle and the aluminium so obtained is recycled. This ensures the constant availability of raw materials and saves energy for the benefit of future generations.
